The Grampians Region Allied Health Professionals Conference provides a forum for allied health professionals and related medical and industry providers to discuss principles, strategies and practicalities associated with regional health care.
The objectives of the Conference are:
• To advance knowledge concerning the nature and scope of allied health care within the
Grampians Region;
• To consider and contribute to national strategic discussions concerning regional allied health care;
• To reflect on the multi-disciplinary nature of allied health care and to consider the professional challenges and opportunities inherent in regional, rural and local practice;
• To foster initiatives, partnerships and programs designed to make allied health care within the Grampians Region better understood and more accessible.

Scholarships and Grants 2008
Rural Allied Health Undergraduate Scholarships
Rural Allied Health Undergraduate Scholarships are available in 2008 for first year students from rural Victoria studying an eligible allied health undergraduate course.
Rural Allied Health Postgraduate Scholarships
Rural Allied Health Postgraduate Scholarships are available in 2008 to rural allied health practitioners who wish to undertake further study to improve their expertise. Applicants are required to demonstrate an ongoing commitment and involvement in rural health
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for Allied Health Practitioners
This subsidy scheme is available to assist allied health practitioners involved in rural health in Victoria to participate in conferences and skill development opportunities relevant to the development and provision of rural health services.
This fund is not available to assist with formal tertiary qualifications.
Please read the guidelines carefully- this scheme applies to:
1. Qualified allied health practitioners in rural and remote areas of Victoria
(this excludes nurses)
2. Working in the public sector/agencies only
3. Applications need to be lodged 2 months prior to the event or conference
Applications will ONLY be accepted if they meet the criteria
